Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor best known for his role in the popular television series called 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. In college, he began to develop an interest in acting. In his school, the University of Colorado at Boulder, he studied acting. Though he has been active in both films and television, the characters he has played on the smaller screen that brought him fame and a large followers. He's been able to easily play characters from both sides of the law and grab the audience's interest. He played the serial killer in the first TV series he appeared in before moving on to play the role as an NYPD detective. Due to his work on the small screen, he's garnered multiple nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as the PRISM Awards. The stunning blue eyes on his face are thought to be the most appealing element. These are also regarded as his trademark and are credited as a reason for his portrayals of characters that were tough yet likable. He was listed in People magazine's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
