Selena Gomez - an international actor and singer - has become known as a household name. One of the shows she has participated in that has had the greatest popularity has been the Disney series called Wizards of Waverly Place. The full name of Selena Marie Gomez is Selena Marie Gomez. She was born July 22, the 22nd of July, 1992 at Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett & Ricardo Gomez. Her mother was only sixteen when Selena became a mother. When she was nine years old, Selena landed her very first gig on stage by being cast as Gianna on Barney and her Friends. She was one of the children that performed with the most well-known human-like purple dinosaur ever created. Selena was a part of the cast for a number of seasons, including season 7 and 8 from 2001 to 2003. As a fun fact: Selena isn't the only singer who worked in Barney and his Friends at this time; Demi Lovato was also a part of the cast of the show. Selena Gomez had a few auditions for other films and shows after the end of Barney and His Friends. The auditions were not successful. She had a smaller role in Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3D Game Over) in 2003, and an additional role part in the film as Julie on Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire. The role of Emily Grace Garcia was assigned to her in the 2006 film Brain Zapped, for which she composed a soundtrack.
